Who are BBC3? BBC 3 was a free to air British TV Channel operated by the BBC. The service's remit was to provide innovative programming to viewers aged between 16 - 34. BBC 3's output mostly originated from the UK, with 70% of it also being original. It was launched on the 9th February 2003, as a replacement for BBC Choice. In March 2014, as a result of a £100 million, it was announce that BBC 3 was to be discontinued and replaced by an online only version of the channel, with more focus on original and short productions.  The channel covered all genres, from animation, comedy, current affairs and drama.
